After 25 years, in 2017 Margaret Bennet-Alder, creator of the original and much-loved Toronto Gardener’s Journal & Source Book, decided to transfer her labour of love to a new team of gardeners.

2022 was our 30th edition!

Read Margaret’s story here. The 2022 edition marked the fifth year since Margaret passed the reins of her beloved garden journal to “those Battersby girls,” Helen and Sarah, the sisters who’ve collaborated since 2006 on the award-winning blog Toronto Gardens.

We are both happy and sad to say that the 2022 journal completely sold out, and much faster than we’d expected, even with higher quantities. Unfortunately, a reprint isn’t possible for this year.

But our 2023 journal will be out this fall, as always with the tips and record-keeping tools that current and soon-to-be fans love, as well as about 300 plant and seed sources, and shortcuts to horticultural advice and services. We look forward to helping you record another year of happy times in your garden!
